Friday Fave: M&S COCONUT WATER!

Ok, I am addicted to this! I have tried many other coconut drinks on the market and did not like any of them however the M&S one is delicious!

Not strictly beauty related for my makeup blog I know but what we put into our bodies aids our beauty too and on that note it is suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians.

It is not too sweet like many others it contains 99% coconut water and is not from concentrate.

It takes me straight back to holiday's when I have drank it fresh and straight from the coconut.

I find it very refreshing, tasty and super hydrating and it just makes me feel good too!
Its great when exercising as it is good for rehydration as it contains electrolytes.  It is also a good source of sodium which can be lost during exercise.

£1.70 750 ml / 2 for £4.00

Friday Fave! - MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot

This is my go-to eye base for most of my clients!

It is a perfect primer before eyeshadow keeping eye makeup in place all day without any creasing or wear.  Although it is not specifically sold as a primer more of a longwear cream eyeshadow.  I however have always preferred eye primers to have a little creamy colour to even skin tone so this does the job perfectly.

I like the shade 'Soft Ochre' as it evens out the skintone of the eyelid before colour is applied on top.  You also get the true eyeshadow colour this way as you have a perfect even skintone to apply the colour on to, as opposed to the reds and blues that are naturally on our eyelids which will change the colour of eyeshadow if you apply directly onto this.

I usually set the paint pot with a neutral cream shade of shadow first before applying coloured shadows to set it similar to how you set a foundation with a powder before powder blusher or bronzer is applied.  A colour like Bobbi Brown 'Bone', MAC 'Brule' or the lightest shade in any Urban Decay Eye Palette would be perfect for this.

Eye Primer is essential to keep eye makeup in place and this is definitely my favourite, in my pro-kit as well as my personal makeup bag!

There are nine shades available.  RRP. £16.50.

Friday Fave! Benefit Eye Bright

I have had this pencil in my professional kit for more than fifteen years now!

It is an amazing pencil to place inside the bottom water line of the eyes to make eyes look instantly much brighter, bigger and generally wide awake even if you do not feel it...

Most eye brightening pencils are white and can be stark but the Benefit eyebright is pink toned and looks very natural when applied correctly. Do not press too hard as it will look obvious you have drawn it on!

This can also be applied to the inner corner of the eyes to brighten, blend well with a brush or the warmth of your fingertip, I recommend using your ring finger to gently pat the product into the skin a couple of times. This pencil can be worn alone or with makeup.

It is a staple for your makeup bag when most of us now lead busy and tiring lifestyles.  Also a great one for brides who have not slept!

RRP. £17.00

Available at John Lewis, Amazon, Boots and many Department Stores.

Friday Fave: Maybelline SuperStay 24 Lip Colour

I love these lip colours!!

My current favourite is 'Perpetual rose' a gorgeous pink that is just perfect for the summer.

I literally apply this at 9am and I am still wearing it at 9pm it stays on all day and the best bit is does not dry your lips and crack like so many other long wear lip colours. It is dual-ended so you apply the colour from the perfectly shaped applicator which has a pointed tip to follow your lip line, wait a minute or two then apply the balm on top.  This will make the colour feel comfortable to wear, add shine and condition the lips.  This can be applied throughout the day to top up.

Apparently it is the micro-flex technology that stops flaking, cracking and dying, well I must say it is fabulous!

There are so many great wearable colours for all skin tones.  I have lots of these in my pro' kit, they are great for bridal parties who need their lip colour to stay true as long as possible. 'Always Orchid' and 'In the Nude' are great natural colours for everyday wear.

To remove the colour use an oil based makeup remover!
