December Update!

December has flown by! I had a couple of winter weddings this month which were lovely and christmasy, a few shoots, lessons and trials as well as party makeup's and have been busy generally getting up to date on everything work wise for the end of the year. I am looking forward to starting 2018 with a plan for a much better work life balance and my new years resolution is to start doing yoga!

Bridal Makeup.

We also went to Dubai for a weeks holiday at the beginning of December, it was a much needed break at a fabulous hotel and so lovely to be in the sunshine!

We visited Abu Dhabi for the day and the new Louvre gallery which was amazing
definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

The Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi with its 24 carat gold coffee and ice-cream!

Then back to a snowy and very cold England, 30 degrees back to minus 6 was not fun!!

We finally got a  Christmas tree and decorations up a week before Christmas, shopping done presents are wrapped and looking forward to a fun filled festive break.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year.

Friday Fave!

It is an excellent shine spray and smells lovey too.

This is a firm staple in my professional hairdressing kit and is one of my own hairstyling favourites.

Hair looks super smooth and shiny with this product.  Simply spray the ultra fine mist onto dry hairstyles to finish styles beautifully.

My Top Five Make-up Brush Cleansers!

Yes Brush Cleansers ladies! They do exist and you should be using them ...

It has come to my attention that there are many of you (you know who you are!) who do not clean your makeup brushes often enough or indeed have never cleaned them!

You invest in often expensive brushes and if you look after them they will last you a very long time.

The best way to keep them clean is to use a mild shampoo and warm water.  For stubborn products like lipstick and some foundations use good old fairy liquid to bring brushes up squeaky clean.

If you do not have time to use a shampoo/cleanser that you wash off with water opt for a liquid or spray option that will give immediate results with no fuss and quicker drying time.

Here are my top five brush cleansing products to pamper your all important brushes with!

1. MAC £12.00

2. Laura Mercier £14.50

3. Bobbi Brown £12.00

4. Dior Backstage Brush Cleanser £16.00

5. Estée lauder £13.00

Friday Fave: Schwarzkopf got 2 b glued

This hair spray is FAB!

It sets hair so well, it is perfect for updo's and fantastic for setting curls whilst achieving ultimate hold. It will create and fix spikes in shorter styles as well.  I find it brushes out of the hair easily too.

This is a new firm staple in my professional kit.

A bargain at only £3.00, available at Boots.
