New O.P.I Infinite Shine2 nail lacquer

I have never been a fan of having gel nails soaked off in acetone hence why I always paint my own nails. I was therefore keen to try the newly launched O.P.I Infinite Shine 2 nail lacquer.  This claims to be a professional long wear lacquer that cures in natural light, applies easily and offers soak free removal as well as "gel like shine" and "up to 10 days wear".

I was impressed with the smooth application which was to the usual O.P.I high standard if you are already familiar with their nail polishes. The colour payoff was also true to how it appeared in the bottle and the shiny finish is absolutely high salon quality. However the colour lasted on my fingernails no longer than a day before it began chipping which for me is the same as other standard nail polishes that I already use so I was sadly disappointed with the staying power.

There is a really great range of colours from nudes to brights.  There is also a primer to apply first and a gloss to finish, these are sold individually and I purchased these as well although they clearly didn't make a difference to how long the colour lasted!

Overall I would buy again as the quality, high shine and colour range is good but it is a huge shame that it does not wear better!

The colour I am wearing the photograph below is "No Stopping Me Now".
