FRIDAY FAVE! Charlotte's Magic cream

Charlotte Tilbury's magic cream is a firm favourite in my pro-makeup kit.

This is the first product that Charlotte created, born backstage to revive supermodel's skin. This will make your skin glow and your makeup will thank you for it too!

Contains SPF 15 & Hyaluronic acid + vitamins C & E + peptide complex. These ingredients work to smooth, brighten, hydrate, calm and plump the skin.  Also contains Camellia oil to give a dewy complexion.

Four available sizes 15ml, 30ml, 50ml and 10ml and refillable sizes are also available in the 50ml and 150ml (£28-£195).

I personally love as you open inside the box the method of the "Tilbury Tap" a five minute facial massage you can do to promote elasticity and the skin's appearance, it is a great opportunity for some daily self care.

1. COMPLEXION BOOST

Start from the lower cheek, sweep the cream out & up. Tap fingertips across the cheeks, avoiding the eye contour.

2. DEFINE CONTOURS

Place fingers under cheekbones and, applying light pressure, smooth outwards and upwards along the cheekbone

3. DEFINE JAWLINE

Gently pinch chin with fingers, moving up and along your jawline in one sweeping motion.

4. SMOOTH FURROWS

Starting in the middle of the forehead, massage in circular motions moving out to the temples. Pat the excess into the skin using your ring fingers.

5. MASSAGE NECK AND DÉCOLLETAGE

Applying gentle pressure, massage along the décolletage and up to the neck in an upward lifting motion.

I love to apply this to my clients ten minutes before makeup so that makeup sits beautifully on top and looks radiant.

The jar also looks gorgeous especially if on display on a dressing table and not in the bathroom cabinet like mine!

My Ultimate guide to Make up Brush Cleaning!

My Ultimate Guide to Brush cleaning in Five steps!

1. Invest in a pair of rubber gloves just for using with cleaning your makeup brushes.
Use the palm of the glove which is textured to add a pea sized amount of a gentle shampoo. For very stubborn makeup use washing up liquid.

2. Use hot water to clean your brushes. Gently wipe back and forth and move the brush in circular rotations to remove makeup from the brush hairs.  The texture of the glove really helps to dislodge makeup gathered in the brush hairs.

3. Rinse the brushes under clean hot water from the tap until there is no makeup or shampoo left in the brush hairs, now gently squeeze out any remaining excess water from the hairs.

4. Shape the brush hairs to a point or dome depending on the brush type using your finger tips before laying to dry.

5. Always lay brushes flat to dry on a towel. At this stage I usually wipe the brush handles with a Dettol wipe (or similar product) before using a separate towel to make sure each brush handle is dry.  Now lay brush heads over the edge of a table so that air can circulate the entire brush head.  This step speeds up the drying process and stops water running back down into the ferrule of the brush which is usually glued and will therefore loosen over time with repeated washing.

Happy Cleaning!

FRIDAY FAVE! REVLON ULTRA HD SNAP! NAIL POLISH

Well I absolutely love this nail polish.  Revlon have outdone themselves with this one!

I have been wearing this colour (no .31) all summer long, it is such a great shade.

The product applies easily with a nicely designed ergonomic cap to hold and gives a professional long lasting hi-gloss finish that dries quickly too.

A definitely Friday Fave for anyone who actually still paints their nails like I do!

The colour is opaque and looks good with just one coat however I do still like two apply two layers.  You can also apply this without the need for top and base coats. I do still prefer to do this but maybe out of habit!

These are also clean 100% Vegan nail polish that are made with over 78% natural ingredients and without a lot of controversial ingredients found in some other nail polishes.

Available in 17 shades, the shade I wear is called 'She's on Fire' no 31.
