Introducing Nikicreates!

So this year I have made a real effort to get back to doing what I have always loved since I was a child, drawing and painting!

I have been doing what I can in my spare time alongside working as a freelance makeup artist.  Over the last few months in particular I really have made an extra effort and I have been working hard to make my childhood dream of being an artist happen.  I specialise in beauty illustration and portraiture, most of my work is done with acrylic paint my favourite medium but I also work with black ink and collage and often experiment with other new mediums as well.

I am so excited to announce that I have just opened an Etsy shop selling Limited Edition giclĂ©e prints of my original art works.  Prints are limited to just 25, once they are gone thats it!  Each print is signed, numbered and dated and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

You can view my Etsy shop 'Nikicreates' and purchase prints on the below link

March Update!

March has flown by, it didn't feel particularly busy for me but looking over the photos I have taken it feels it now!

I had the pleasure of doing natural hair and makeup for this gorgeous gal Hope Virgo who has just written her first book, what an achievement! 'Stand Tall Little Girl' about her journey wth anorexia.

A little art work...

I have made time to focus on a little art work this month and spent a fabulous Snowy and cold Saturday afternoon sketching and painting! I plan to do a lot more of this in the future.

October Update!

I hate winter it is official but thankfully October has been relatively mild and sunny in parts so it is not all bad, plus we have just booked our belated honeymoon to Mauritius so we have that to look forward to before Christmas which will be here before we know it!

The wedding season has started to slow down after the crazy summer whirlwind of fabulous weddings I was lucky enough to be involved in.  I have now had time to catch up on the admin' that has been piling up and recharge my batteries a little!

I love Christmas and am very organised this year I have made two Christmas puddings and a Christmas cake.  I have also already started the Christmas shopping and gift wrapping already!

My Macmillan coffee morning held at the beginning of the month raised £281.00 which I am thrilled about.

Below are some of my pictures from October.
