April Update!

At the beginning of April I visited Suffolk for a wedding client Jodie, so I made it into a weekend break after working.  The wedding was at stunning http://www.butleypriory.co.uk below.

Recent Bride Rebecca!

On October 17th 2015 I had the absolute pleasure of doing hair and makeup for beautiful bride Rebecca, her lovely mum and four bridesmaids!

The wedding and bridal preparations took place in a beautiful rural location at Bassmead Manor Barns.  http://www.bassmeadmanorbarns-weddings.co.uk

I arrived bright and early at 7.30am to start prepping everyone's hair, it was a very busy morning for me as I had to have everyone ready by around 1pm.
Super team Andre and Suzanne form Belle Momenti photography were on hand to capture all the bridal preparations.  http://www.onlinepictureproof.com/bmp
I loved doing the bridesmaids hair in a variation of relaxed updo's, achieved by tonging the hair first then adding in braids and pinning hair up in sections.

Rebecca wanted a natural wedding day look.  To achieve this I used a little Benefit primer to make sure the makeup lasted.  I used a Kiko light coverage foundation and a little Bobbi Brown concealer. On the eyes I used a combination of MAC eyeshadows in shades Phloof, Scene and Pink Venus.  The lipstick is Angel by MAC over Ballet pink lip liner from Bobbi Brown. Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and glow completed the look. Rebecca's hair was set in velcro rollers and tonged for a relaxed part up part down style.  I did a little backcombing to achieve some height on top before adding the veil.

January Update!

Who said January is a quiet month? Wow! I've had a super busy month organising makeup trials ahead of this summer's weddings and lots of shoots travelling all over the south east of England.
I have also spent some time organising my home office making sure everything is up to date as well as a lot of diary organising for at least the next six months!

Here is just a few of the beauties I have had the pleasure of meeting this month.

I worked at two beautiful weddings at Luton Hoo http://www.lutonhoo.co.uk alongside Jaydean at http://www.hairbyjaydean.com where we are both the recommended suppliers.

We saw the New Year in staying at a boutique hotel in Winchelsea and spent a wonderful New Years day at Camber Sands literally blowing away 2015 and a had a lovely time wandering around beautiful Rye.

January Highlights included a power cut for an entire evening which meant no television, an insane amount of candles, a head torch to work by!...and worst of all no kettle for tea, so we opted for Baileys instead. Well, it was Burns night, no dry January here thank you very much!

We also saw a couple of inches of snowfall in Harpenden which was very pretty.
The snow at Luton Hoo Hotel created a stunning winter wonderland wedding for bride Gemma.
