Inside my summer makeup bag!

Here is what I am currently using in my daily makeup routine during the summer.

Base:
Laura Mercier Bronzing gel
Creme De La Mer The reparative skin tint spf 30 (I am loving this right now!)
YSL touche éclat no. 2
MAC Prep + prime 24 - Hour extended eye base

Eyes:
Nars Isolde eye shadow duo
Loreal eyebrow pencil in 02 Blonde
Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow pencil Bronzed garnet
Bobbi Brown long-wear cream eyeshadow stick Golden Bronze
Maybelline Brow drama transparent (a staple in my makeup bag and professional kit)
Rimmel Volume colourist black mascara (not impressed, it does not do as it is claims!)

Face/cheeks:
Kiko bronzing powder 100 (I think this shade is now discontinued but I love it as its not too orange)
Bobbi Brown creme pot rouge Calypso coral

Lipstick:
MAC Bombshell (not seen here) A nice summer pink.

March Update!

I hope you have all enjoyed a lovely Easter break and lots of chocolate bunnies and eggs!

I have spent the break decorating my home office into more of a studio environment.  Firstly the ceiling was re-plastered, then I got on with filling, sanding and painting which I have to say I do love doing!  I have ordered a few very exciting things, this being one!

Recent Bride Rebecca!

On October 17th 2015 I had the absolute pleasure of doing hair and makeup for beautiful bride Rebecca, her lovely mum and four bridesmaids!

The wedding and bridal preparations took place in a beautiful rural location at Bassmead Manor Barns.  http://www.bassmeadmanorbarns-weddings.co.uk

I arrived bright and early at 7.30am to start prepping everyone's hair, it was a very busy morning for me as I had to have everyone ready by around 1pm.

I loved doing the bridesmaids hair in a variation of relaxed updo's, achieved by tonging the hair first then adding in braids and pinning hair up in sections.

Rebecca wanted a natural wedding day look.  To achieve this I used a little Benefit primer to make sure the makeup lasted.  I used a Kiko light coverage foundation and a little Bobbi Brown concealer. On the eyes I used a combination of MAC eyeshadows in shades Phloof, Scene and Pink Venus.  The lipstick is Angel by MAC over Ballet pink lip liner from Bobbi Brown. Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and glow completed the look. Rebecca's hair was set in velcro rollers and tonged for a relaxed part up part down style.  I did a little backcombing to achieve some height on top before adding the veil.

November Update!

November started off beautifully as I was on holiday in my favourite place in the world enjoying the Spanish sun!

It has been a fairly busy month especially for wedding's which are generally much quieter at this time of the year but unusually this year I have had five large bridal parties to beautify.  I have also enjoyed working at some gorgeous venues including Ponsbourne Park (http://www.deverevenues.co.uk/en/venues/ponsbourne-park/), South Farm (http://www.south-farm.co.uk) and The Luton Hoo Hotel (http://www.lutonhoo.co.uk).

I randomly did hair and make-up for the UK's loudest snorer and I also teamed up with Designer Thomas Lennon to shoot some absolutely stunning couture fashion.  I look forward to sharing the final images with you soon.

Christmas is just around the corner so I have been busy making my christmas puddings and writing to do lists for festive shopping.  I love Christmas especially the lead up and cannot wait to start decorating the tree and stringing up the twinkling lights.

March Update!

A busy month of weddings, wedding trials, special occasion make-ups and shoots....

Stand out moments for me were I had a really long day driving and and tough day shooting in Suffolk, too many insanely busy Saturday's and a lovely shoot at stunning Warren Weir at The Luton hoo hotel where I am the recommended Make-up artist.
