FRIDAY FAVE! Maybelline Lash Sensation Sky High Tubes Mascara

Late to the party... maybe! I have never tried a tubing mascara until now and boy do I love this one!

If you don't know what a tubing mascara is it basically coats each lash in water resistant polymer tubes that stay attached until removed with just water.

Tubing mascaras are great as they do not smudge, flake or clump and require water only to remove them easily.

I have never been prone to mascara smudging so it wasn't a priority for me but I do keep hearing about tubing mascara being great a hell of a lot recently so thought I would try the new Maybelline Sky High Tubes considering the Sky High mascara is such a great one.

I have been using it for around a week now and I have to say I love it. I particularly love the long flexible brush which really lengthens and stretches my short little lashes as well as separating really well. I find it easy to add a subtle touch to the bottom lashes with this mascara too and yes its super easy to remove with just water, although I do keep forgetting and swiping eye makeup remover over and nothing comes off as I have already washed my face!

Vegan, Allergy tested suitable for sensitive eyes.

Definitely a "Friday Fave!"

RRP £13.99.

Friday Fave! NARS Crème De La Bronze

I am loving cream bronzers lately, the application of a cream bronzer is just dreamy! I have been using the Charlotte Tilbury one since it launched but I wanted to try the Nars one to compare! Basically I love them both and would happily use or recommend either! I do like the compact size of the Nars one though somehow it works better for me in my make-up bag but that is literally the only reason I would favour it over the Charlotte Tilbury one.

This crème bronzer comes in five shades I opted for '02 Original Laguna Bronzer' (light to medium bronze with neutral undertones) which is perfect for my skin tone and I would also be able to use this on most people in my professional kit as well.

This crème bronzer glides on smoothly, its buildable, blends seamlessly, looks natural and is long lasting what more could you want?

It can be applied with fingers, sponges or brushes choose your favourite technique! I personally like to use an angled foundation/blending style brush to buff the product gently into the skin.  I also build the product in layers to achieve the desired colour so as not to add too much in one go.

Definitely a firm favourite and one for the Christmas list ladies!

RRP. £32.50 19 g

November update!

Exciting things are happening at Niki Makeup HQ! I am currently having a studio built in my garden.  It was originally for me to paint in, but seeing the space coming to life I think it will be great to also use as a hair and makeup studio for my clients.  I am super excited right now as it will be ready at the beginning of  January for 2022 Bridal trials.  I look forward to sharing some photos and further details with you soon.

Sneak peak...

I have had quite a few weddings still this month which is unusual for me as November is usually much quieter but with so many postponements there is no peak season at the moment!

Lots of hairstyling for me recently as well.  These were taken at the gorgeous https://www.essendonweddings.co.uk I have worked here a couple of times recently and it fast becoming one of my favourite venues so do check it out if you are currently venue hunting!

Lots of waves on shorter hair this month, this has definitely been a popular request.

Lovely to back as always at https://www.south-farm.co.uk/weddings/ creating this lovely natural makeup look.

Bun styles are always a popular choice for bridesmaids or a special occasion.

I met with the lovely Natalie for natural hair and makeup ahead of her branding shoot for her Osteopathy business with the super talented https://www.ajburrowsphotography.co.uk

I had some face chart fun, for those that don't know I have my own face charts available to purchase at my Etsy store.  These are great to practice makeup designs and to record clients makeup following appointments. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Nikicreates?ref=profile_header

Being a really summer girl I have so enjoyed the sunny blue skies of November!

I also went into London for the first time in two years! We had a lovely stroll around Covent Garden and even took our pooches with us.

I had my Covid Booster, so fully jabbed which is great!

Finally one of my beautiful November brides...

...and one of my bridal makeup trials.

I am offering Special Occasion Hair and Makeup appointments in December ahead of Christmas parties so do book in if you are interested.  I also have Gift vouchers available to purchase on my website if you are looking for a gift with a bit of a difference these can be used for Special Occasions, Makeup Lessons and Master classes.
