FRIDAY FAVE! Schwarzkopf got2b glued wax stick

I have long been a fan of the "Cult favourite" Got2b blasting freeze hairspray (if you haven't tried it you really must!) and I am now loving this chunky wax stick. This is a new firm favourite in my pro' hairdressing kit as well as my bathroom cabinet!

Simply twist and apply directly to hair.  Style your hair in your chosen up-do, from buns to ponytails and apply the wax stick onto your hair to sleekly set your style in place or simply and easily use it to tame frizz and flyaway hairs.

I like to wear my hair up in a high bun on hot sunny days and I can honestly say this has been game changing for keeping my hair sleek and well set all day, before I would get bits falling out all over the place - very annoying!

Pro Tip: Apply the stick to your finger tips, pat and gently rub together and smooth over any flyaways or the ends of your hair for a smooth polished finish.

There is no greasy or crunchy hair with this and the styling lasts up to 24 hours.

Contains a blend of nourishing coconut oil, castor oil and shea butter.

Vegan, silicone-free formula.

"Absolutely a firm Friday Fave!"

RRP £5.755 50g Shop the link below:

FRIDAY FAVE! Pillow Talk Blush Balm Lip Tint

Pillow Talk Blush Balm Lip Tint!

Six brand new Pillow Talk shades for a natural hydrating tint of lip colour!

These are 3-in-1 sheer lipstick + lip balm + lip tint!

Lip tints, that are natural and sheer therefore they are great if you are usually a non-lipstick wearer or like a natural hint of colour.

These tints are super wearable and feel nourishing and hydrating whilst giving a subtle colour and shine.  They are made up of 92% skin care and also contain youth-boosting peptides.

I definitely do find they make your lips appear plumper which I love!

However I do not find that they stay on that well and so I have to reapply often, not a major issue as I quite enjoy reapplying throughout the day.

They cleverly have a “pH Custom Colour Chemistry” which works with your individual lips to a create a shade that is unique to you.

I have shade Pillow talk Medium which I love and gives just a hint of colour a little pinker than my natural lips.

Definitely a "Friday Fave" in my Pro Kit for all my "No Makeup" Brides!

My pro Tip:

Apply ‘Pillow talk’ lip liner or ‘Iconic Nude’ all over the lips, then apply your favourite lipstick on top then apply the pillow talk tint on top of that! I love the sheer shine blurred and plumped effect I can achieve with this method.

RRP. £27.00

    e.l.f. SKIN Bronzing Drops

I just this week purchased the e.l.f. skin bronzing drops in the shade 'Rose Gold'.

I am loving them! Add a few drops of this nourishing tinted serum to your moisturiser for a natural gorgeous warm sun-kissed glow.  I also like to add a few drops to my hand cream so that my hands do not look paler than my face.  Every time I catch my face in the mirror I really do look like I've just been on holiday! A definite "Friday Fave!" I also think my clients who like to look bronzed will also love this so I will definitely be adding a bottle to my kit.

This serum can also be mixed with body lotion. Note the more drops you add the more bronzed you will be.  On the face I find two or three with a pea sized amount of moisturiser works well for me.

Pro Tip: I like to apply a small amount of moisturiser to the back of one hand.  Shake the drops well and  add 2/3 drops to it and mix together on my hand before applying to my face with finger tips starting in the centre of the face and blending out towards the hairline and jawline, I also apply to the neck for an even finish.

    Key Ingredients:

    Vitamin E

    Sunflower Seed Oil

    Available in four shades:

Rose Gold - Fair to medium skin tones

Pure Gold - Light to tan skin tones

Copper Gold - Medium to rich skin tones

Fair Gold - Fair to light skin tones

    30 ml RRP £13.00

    Vegan & Cruelty free.

Friday Fave! Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Blur Concealer

I have been testing this concealer for around a month or so now and I like it used in small amounts, a little goes a long way.  This is a good full coverage concealer hence why a little goes a log way. I have found it covers blemishes and redness very well, as well as not feeling too heavy applied under the eyes.

The coverage is very good, the overall finish looks and feels natural and it stays on well all day.  This concealer feels hydrating and comfortable to wear and I have not felt any creasing but then I am not prone to concealer creasing.

The concealer moisturises for 24 hours and doubles the hydration after one hour, I have to say my skin has definitely felt more hydrated since wearing it and even looks more glowy!

The applicator is diamond shaped for easy application, I apply a few dabs onto the face using the applicator and then tend to blend in well with a separate concealer brush.

It is a firm  "Friday Fave" and is remaining in my makeup bag - always a good sign!  I have also stocked up on various shades for my pro' kit.

Friday Fave! Rosalique Redness relief day cream

I have long been a fan of the Rosalique 3-in-1 Anti-redness miracle formula which is excellent for covering redness and has SPF 50. I have used this daily for many years to improve the appearance of my mild rosacea.

However in recent months I have been using the redness relief day cream and I really love it. This cream immediately calms and soothes my skin nourishing it without feeling greasy or heavy. A definite Friday Fave!

I highly recommend this if you suffer from redness or have sensitive skin.

For best results I would follow up with the 3 in 1 Anti redness Miracle formula SPF 50.

    November Update!

I am already enjoying the festive season! Our tree and decorations are up early this year on November 23rd! For me it just makes the cold and darker days so much brighter adding in a little bit of Christmas magic!

We got a shiny new tree this year too which I actually love as I have always preferred a real tree but had heard such good things about the Balsam Hill ones that we had to give them a try! We are both really pleased as it is just what we wanted narrow and full and very realistic. https://www.balsamhill.co.uk

November began with me hosting a makeup workshop which was a lovely morning spent with a great group of ladies learning new make up tips. If you are interested in 2026 workshops keep an eye on my website https://www.nikimakeup.co.uk  for dates or Instagram updates @nikimakeup.  The next dates are 23.01.25 5-7pm and 24.01.26 11-1 pm in Harpenden, Herts.  I can also offer bespoke workshops if you would like to do one with 5-6 friends.

My last November wedding was at the beautiful Huntsmill farm in Buckinghamshire https://huntsmillweddings.co.uk where I am very privileged to be a longstanding supplier.

I loved creating this soft loose bun style with dried flowers.

This month I have also been busy with lots of 1:1 makeup lessons and pre-wedding trials as well as special occasion hair and makeups for Christmas parties and birthdays!  Christmas came even earlier to my makeup studio on 12th November! I am loving all the lips and makeup baubles I am finding too!  I have enjoyed meeting so many lovely new clients recently and working in my studio has been just the dream!

Charlotte Tilbury kindly sent me a wonderful package of goodies in a gorgeous Charlotte Tilbury stocking, do go check out the Black Friday sale and grab a great saving! https://friends.charlottetilbury.com/a/niki.l

Outside of work I have been enjoying getting festive from Christmas decorating and shopping to a few early Christmas celebrations as well as my much loved dog walks although it has been too cold for me... We even had a smattering of snow in Hertfordshire.

If you love dogs you can also follow Rufus's adventures over on Instagram @rufustehredtoypoodle

I dabbled with a little art here and then too!

We visited for the first time https://thewoodyardbrasserie.co.uk for the most delicious roast lunch and we will definitely be back, a lovely festive experience. We both felt like we had stepped back in time!

We also had a great Italian lunch whilst Christmas shopping in London and they allow dogs too so Rufus could join us.  I love it when the great restaurants allow dogs!  https://www.boccadilupo.com We are also taking him with us to https://joeallen.co.uk and http://josepizarro.com/venues/pizarro-restaurant-bermondsey/ in December, he is a very spoiled pooch!

We visited The bear club a great little gem in Luton, do check it out if you are local we have seen some great jazz here multiple times!  https://www.the-bear.club
