Friday Fave: Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector

BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector gets a thumbs up from me!

Relatively new to my professional kit I have been using this for the last couple of months and I am liking the results!

This creamy corrector banishes under eye darkness by brightening under the eyes and correcting the skin tone. It does not settle in fine lines and wrinkles and prepares skin beautifully for concealer.
A creamy consistency that offers perfect coverage and illumination to the under eye area.

Available in two shades Light to Medium and Medium to Dark.

Simply pat on using fingertips or apply with a synthetic haired makeup brush.  I like to blend this pink toned camouflage into the skin using my ring finger to neutralise any darkness, it blends and melts into skin effortlessly.

To prevent the product from drying out keep the cap tightly closed.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick

LHave you tried the new Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow sticks?

I think they are fabulous! They are so quick and easy to use, just one swipe of the stick and you have defined or highlighted eyes.  The best bit, they do not crease and wear off throughout the day.  They are completely long-wearing and waterproof.  Easy to blend with your fingers or a brush if preferred.
My favourite shade is 'Golden bronze'.

Do check them out and have a play with the colours if you are looking to update your summer eye make-up with great ease!

Eighteen great shades, RRP £20.00 available at all good department stores!

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye mascara

My new favorite mascara of the moment is Bobbi Brown's Smokey Eye mascara.

I love the short size and shape of the brush making mascara super easy to apply, the brush is also cleverly tapered at the tip to get into those hard to reach lashes.  This mascara is excellent at lengthening, curling and building to really make the best of your natural lashes.  As I apply this my lashes appear to stretch before my eyes and I can honestly say no other mascara has made my eyelashes look this good, even my husband commented!

I like to wear this mascara day to day but it is equally good to compliment smokey eyes for a big night out.

This mascara delivers the drama every woman's lashes need via 'kohl-pigmented' technology.

Smudge free, doesn't clump or flake... what is not to love?

Available in black at all good department stores and www.bobbibrown.co.uk

RRP. £22.00

Real Techniques Bold Metals Brush collection

I purchased five of the seven brushes available as these are the ones I could unbelievably justify needing!

Those of you already familiar with the original Real Techniques brushes that launched in Boots in the UK a few years back will love these new additions that are more premium and also somewhat more designed towards professional use.

They come in three colours rose gold, gold and silver and unusually do not have rounded handles so they will not roll when laying flat.  They are also weighted so super easy to control as well as having a narrow end to easily fit into any style brush holder.

The brushes are made from premium tapered nylon fibres so can be used with both cream/liquid and powder based products.  The synthetic hair also means they are cruelty free : )

Gold  brushes include:.
100 Flat domed face powder "I love the super soft feel of this brush"
101 Triangular foundation "the shape does help to blend product into the facial contours well"

Rose Gold brushes:
301 Flat contour "a very dense brush to be used with caution. In my opinion definitely best handled by a pro!"
300 Blush "I did not purchase this as I have small blush brushes already but it would be equally as soft as the powder brush"

Silver brushes:
200 Oval shadow "this brush is particularly good for building up cream eyeshadow but I also love this for applying concealer as I tend to prefer larger concealer brushes".
201 Tapered socket "...again quite a dense brush which needs some control probably best left to pro's"
202 Eyeliner/brow " I did not purchase as I have too many already!"

Overall I love them! They are visually gorgeous brushes and feel luxuriously soft.

My personal favourite is the 'Tapered Socket 200 Brush' it is perfect for applying concealer like a pro!

My Holiday Sun Essentials!

I will soon be going on holiday and here are my essential holiday sun products!

St Tropez Gradual Tan Medium/Dark
I have been using this almost daily during the summer months for a couple of years now to keep my skin hydrated and achieve a healthy bronzed glow. I have always used the medium dark shade as this seems to work well for me.

Nivea Sun Factor 20
I have used Nivea suncare for years and have never had any problems with it, so I stick to what works! I particularly like the fact it is non-greasy and applies easily for an even coverage. I love the smell and it moisturizes my skin beautifully at the same time as protecting it.

Garnier Ambre Solaire SPF 50
I love this handy travel size tube to carry with me on the go.  I use it to apply to sensitive areas such as moles, scars and the tops of my ears. I also use it on my face before make-up to moisturise and protect as it feels lightweight and non-greasy and never causes spots like some products can.

Lucas Papaw Ointment
I have often raved about this wonder product before, this is my absolute essential on holiday!
I use it to smooth down flyaway hair, add radiance on my cheekbones, as a lip balm and to soothe bites instantly.  It is also super to apply to burns, scars and grazes it works for just about everything!

My top five make-up products for June!

1) Lola lip brush available at M&S.
I have been on the hunt for the perfect lip brush for what feels like forever! All of the premium brands I have tried the brush hairs splay out after some use making for rather annoying application of lip colour. I tested out the Lola lip brush, a great price at £10.00 last year and six months later I am so impressed no splayed hairs at all and I have just brought another!
2) Daniel Sandler Rosy Tan Eyeshadow.
This colour is a beautiful shade of pink that if I am honest I have found very hard to find anything similar to.  A staple in my kit and used on so many of my clients this is a firm summer favourite of mine. Looks great worn alone or with browns, greys or purples for stronger and smokier eyes.
3) MAC Shale Eyeshadow.
I have always loved this shade it looks particularly good on mature eyes! A mauve shade that's great for achieving smokey eye looks aswell as softer daytime eyes. Incidentally this is the perfect partner to Daniel Sandler Rosy Tan-wear this on eyelids and 'shale' through the sockets for a defined eye.
4) Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation.
I am loving this foundation at the moment! It stays all day and achieves beautiful flawless coverage.
This is a new favourite of mine and is ideal for those that like a perfect full coverage foundation.  The light version is less heavy and equally as fabulous.
5) Loreal Paris Glam Shine Gloss Brilliance 6hr.
These glosses are just great! An excellent colour range I have most in my kit now and one shade 'Fresh Tangerine 405' has remained in my make up bag so you know it must be good! Affordable and long wearing what more could a girl want.
